A Levels

A Levels Tutors: Online and Home Tuition by Subject and Board

A Level is the pre-university stage for students of about 16 to 18. Cambridge AS & A Level and Pearson Edexcel International A Level are common in Pakistan and the Gulf, while AQA and OCR A Levels follow the UK specifications. This page helps students and parents find A Level tutoring by subject, exam board and format.

Tutors on this site list the subjects and levels they teach, and our team approves a profile before it appears. What each tutor offers, where and at what fee differs, so read the profile and ask about a short trial lesson before you book.

Ways to Study A Level

Lessons are one-to-one and follow the student's syllabus. These are the plans we usually discuss with families.

Full course (usually 5 to 6 months for one stage, or the full two-year course)

Suits a student who needs weekly support through AS, A2 or the whole programme. Lessons follow the specification topic by topic, with problem sets, essay or data practice and timed past papers.

Crash course (usually about 3 months before the exam)

Suits a student who has covered the syllabus and wants a revision plan before the series. A diagnostic first, then revision of the topics that carry the most marks, with timed papers marked against the mark scheme.

Composite exam preparation (depends on how many papers are sat together)

Suits a student sitting AS and A2 papers in the same series. A plan that splits the time between both stages, with each part revised and tested before they are combined.

Past-paper month (usually about 1 month)

Suits a student who knows the content and needs exam practice. Timed papers, marked against the mark scheme, with a short review lesson after each.

How to Find a A Level Tutor

The process is simple, and you stay in control of the decision.

1. Tell us what you need

Send a request with the subject, the board, the syllabus code if you know it, and the topics that cost marks.

2. Compare profiles

We reply with suitable approved profiles, or tell you honestly if we have none yet. Read the qualifications, boards and teaching style of each tutor.

3. Try a lesson

Many tutors offer a short trial lesson. Use it to see whether their explanations suit the student, then agree the schedule and fee with the tutor.

A Level Past Papers and Study Guides

Our past-paper library lists papers by board and syllabus code, and the A Levels resources page has plain-language guides on grading, subject choices and exam technique. Common questions are answered on the A Levels tutoring FAQs page.

For the rules, syllabuses and dates themselves, use the official websites: Cambridge International Education, Pearson Edexcel, AQA and OCR. Boards change details from time to time, so check them before you plan.
